Superpipe Finals at XGames 2013 was another one for the books, as the native Frenchman Arthur Longo had the run of his life to take home the Silver medal! Arthur blasted some of the Biggest Cab Tens, Frontside 900s and Frontside 1080 Double Corks of the entire week, and scored a 92.0 on his very first run to set the bar for everyone to follow. Iouri "IPod" Podladtchikov only scored an 82 on an impressive first run as well, but it was enough to keep him sitting in third throughout the finals until the very last rider to drop, Louie Vito bumped him into fourth place. However, it was not before IPod made history by landing the first Cab 1440 Double Cork ever done in competition, a trick he likes to call the Yolo Flip. Unfortunately, after stomping the Yolo Flip he kind of ran out of pipe for his last trick and decked out on a massive Front Double Cork attempt. Nonetheless, Arthur, Iouri and the huge crowd were stoked on the insane level of riding, proving once again that progression at contests is inevitable. Congratulations to both riders and all the competitors, and watch for Slopestyle Finals tomorrow with Eric Willett and Vans UK Rider Aimee Fuller.
