Posted Jan. 30, 2013, 10:40 a.m.
January 26th, 2013 marked the first stop of the Canadian Vans Hi-Standard Series at Mount Seymour in Vancouver BC.
Despite heavy snowfall, low visibility and worked landings, Seymour locals delivered tricks with style and left the event with
money filled pockets. The smell of sizzling hot dogs and grilled cheese courtesy of Pacific Boarder kept everyone charging
all day.
The stand out rider of the day was Keenan Filmer who took MVP for the most stylish tricks, the worst bail award, also know
as the Pain Reliever was issued to Miles Fortoloczky and the event's most improved rider was awarded to Carly Scott.
Following the jump session, time came for the ''Van Doren rail'' best trick segment. With 500,00$ up for grabs, Quinten Fast
displayed his skills in the 15 and under category flossing $200 bones and All Ball took home $300.00 in the 16 and over category.
Once again Mount Seymour proves it's dedication on nurturing the next generation of rippers.
Congratulations everyone. For photos from the event, check out vanssnow.tumblr.com.
