Snowboard Tängl Team #8 – Off The Wall

The snow and skate team final confirmations are live on www.wangltangl.com. The roster includes some of the world’s best snowboarders and skateboarders. World Snowboarding Champion Iouri Podladtchikov will lead the Vans Off The Wall team through the Vans Penken Park. On the skate side Nassim Guammaz, Sam Partaix, Phil Zwijsen and Kris Vile will be just a few of the skaters sessioning the mini ramp for the 10,000 Euro prize.

Off the Wall by name, off the wall by nature, the 8th official Tängl Team is packing all star punch and glamour to boot. The Off the Wall Team Captain, Iouri Podladtchikov, is fresh off his Burton European Open and World Champion Halfpipe wins.

Joining him in Team Off the Wall, is 2012 TTR Big Air Vice Champion, American Eric Willett. Eric has exploded on to the snowboard landscape over the past two seasons, and is considered by his peers to be hands down one of the standouts world wide in the slopestyle format. Eric has US Open, Ante Up and Dew Tour Titles to his name, plus Gold at Europe X-Games and Silver at X-Games US under his belt. You want it flat, corked, inverted or reversed, Eric has it all, combined with a pop, stomp and style that makes the impossible look not only probable, but logical to boot. He slays every bump, hump or grind-able feature on the hill - a style which will thrust him into M.V.P territory, and is perfectly suited to the design of the multi-line Vans Penken Park set up.

Finishing up the team is one of Europe's under cover stars hailing from Les Deux Alps, France. He’s a gentleman and a scholar, Arthur Longo. Former champion of The Arctic Challenge Quarter Pipe, Pirate Movie Productions main protagonist and all-round good guy, Arthur quietly treads where brave men dare not go. Arthur spent a month on location in the Austrian valley this season, filming with PMP during one of the biggest dumps and best conditions seen in Austria for over 20 years (check 'Show du Longo). An all round rider, his pipe skills all but guarantee to see him destroy the all new design of the Red Bull End Section. Arthur is the quiet killer type, a man of few words and consummate style.

This team is one to watch at the upcoming 10th Anniversary of the Vans Wängl Tängl.

SKATE - VWT Skateboard Crew Battle

The Wängl Tängl skate event has always taken its own path, with two-man teams battling it out for the 10,000 Euro prize. Confirmed teams include veterans Oliver Gordon and Michi Nadler as Team Jager, Team Hobo is Dominik Dietrich and Vans team rider Sam Partaix, The Hobnobs Manhead & Andy Scott, Team Inadaptados Manuel Alvarez & David Sanchez, Team Jinetes is Ibon Marino & Alain Goikoetxea, Team Bats is Martino Cattaneo & Kevin Blaser from the Warriors skate family, Nassim Guanez and Daan Vanderlinden are The Dutchy’s, Phil Zwijsen & Micky Iglesias are Team Zwimi and Team Incognito is Kris Vile and Jake Collins.

Music and Art 2012

After the snow and skate action, Mayrhofen will be packed with open-air concerts and nightly parties featuring DJ´s and music headliners Seeter, Roots Manuva and M.O.P. A next level art show hosted by Vans Looking Sideways will feature 10 international artists. This event will be one for the history books.
