"The original snowboarding is for me to go with friends on the mountain and make the thing, what is there," says Markus Keller. With "what is there" he means the little bumps of a normal track, a marker post, a bench or a tree trunk. The opposite: towering Big Air kicker and super pipes. The Halfpipe World Champion dominated as well, but just as important to him is what is called in the boarder-language "jibbing." These are: small but fine art pieces, playing with Brett and slopes; jumps, rotations and slides, fired out of nowhere and run on seemingly random elements. Snowboarders have a good situation for any one trick pony. And: small moves are the best foundation for the big jumps.

The contest: Red Bull Jibmunks
On the following day, 25 February will be held the same spectacle in "contest shape": Red Bull Jibmunks gathered the friends of tricks also on the ridge slopes above Grindelwald. The competition begins with a jam session in several stages in the categories Rookie and Open Girls. Trail is an only slightly modernized setting up track section. The best drivers will qualify for the finals with the pros, as Markus Keller. The legends, including Jamie Lynn, jib out of competition and trifled with. A jury does tricks for points and thus determines who wins Red Bull Jibmunks. "At the victory I do not think," says Mark Keller, "Godfather" of this unusual contest. "I'm looking forward to go on a day with friends and am excited to see what the guys show." If I must add that even girls are welcome and start their own championship. Will be crowned the one-day creative snowboard with the Red Bull party Jibmunks in Grindelwald.
