LS X ENDEAVOR X VANS SNOWBOARDS SNEAK PREVIEW
The Looking Sideways art show is a big part of the Vans Wängl Tängl "contestival" in Mayrhofen, Austria. Going on its 11th year, the Wängl Tängl is a week-long event that combines different aspects of culture: snowboardng, skateboarding, music, and art, and blends these together to create something entirely new. The Looking Sideways show is a big part of it, and their aim is to showcase the skaters, snowboarders and surfers who not only express themselves on their boards, but have also dedicated their lives to making great art. At the show last winter, a couple of hundred party-goers and art fans checked out works on display by Fos, French, Blaise Rosenthal, Ed Templeton, Tristan Huber, Corey Smith, Schoph, Danny Wainwright, Danny Larsen and Tim Karpinski. They also asked fans to send in a picture of their eyes to include in a huge live art mural created at the show, which would then be made into custom snowboards by Endeavor which the entrants would then have a chance to win! Here's a sneak peak of the work in progress, with the winners expected to be announced sometime in October.
